Who is Alistair Cees Overeem?

Alsitair is the world renowned kickboxer and most famous martial artist. It is the dream of every amateur boxer to have a body like Alistair. The well known England born Dutchman has held several titles for heavyweight fighting. Strikeforce, K-1 and DREAM are some of his famous achievements in the world of titles of heavyweight fighting. Mark Hunt and Brock Lesnar are some of the formidable opponents that Alistair Cees Overeem has defeated.

But, Alistair marked his career with controversy when he failed a drug case conducted in 2012, before the fight of UFC Junior champion of Dos Santos. The UFC claimed that according to the test results Overeem’s testosterone level was exceptionally high and hence they replaced him. He was however allowed to reapply for fights after a span of nine months because the Dutchman claimed that doctors had prescribed the testosterone drug for Alistair Cees Overeem to help him cure a rib cage injury which he had recently received during a fight. After the suspension period was over, there as a remarkable and noticeable change in Overeem. He had gained the look of a heavyweight fighter but with the same lean cut features. His testosterone level was extremely low which began to be doubted as a result of the use of steroids. Here are a few steroids that he used after his suspension in 2012.

This steroid is useful for both men and women but produces benefits especially for men. It is a naturally occurring hormone in the body but is quite often taken through an injection. It helps the body to improve the red blood cell count and thus reduces the recovery time of an athlete. It also improves the protein efficiency and keeps the muscles from degrading. The doctor prescribes a different dosage for every individual based on the Testosterone replacement therapy.

There is a huge list of the bad effects that follow the use of Testosterone. If one uses it excessively, the body may stop producing Testosterone naturally. Many people claim that the level of Testosterone in the blood of Alistair decreased due to excessive use of Testosterone injections. It may also lead to development of the gynecomastia, which is a breast tissue. It destroys the looks of the male athlete. Another bad effect, especially for men, is baldness which spoils their looks. It also leads to excess storage of water in the body which may give a person a bloated appearance. Other bad effects include increased chances of heart disease, due to increasing amount of bad cholesterol or high blood pressure.

Bulking Steroids

There a variety of bulking steroids those athletes may use. Alistair is said to have some of the bulking steroids like Anadrol, Deca Durabolin, Trenbolone and Dianabol. These too may lead to the development of a puffy appearance due to increased water retention in the body.

Cutting Steroids

Cutting steroids are used by fighters to maintain a lean muscular body structure. They need to have enough weight to qualify for the fight but at the same time need to maintain lean muscles.  Hence, soon after bulking steroids they often as cutting steroids like Parabolan, Anavar, Equipoise, Trenbolone Acetate, Primobolan and Winstrol.
